Mat is thrilled to be able to play a dream role in such a fun and exciting musical. A recent graduate of the Capilano College Musical Theatre program, Mat spent last summer appearing as Curly in the TUTS production of Oklahoma! (E.V. Young Award for Outstanding Performance and Ovation Award nominee for Best Actor). He is very happy to receive this year’s Ovation award for Outstanding Newcomer for his involvement with My Fair Lady (Gateway Theatre), Sunday in the Park With George (Applause Musicals) and Rejection 101 (Waldron Productions). Other roles that Mat has enjoyed playing are Father in Children of Eden (Exit 22), General Ghengis Khan Schmitz in Seussical: The Musical (Random Entertainment), Cinderella’s Prince in Into The Woods (Exit 22), and Porthos in The Three Musketeers (Exit 22). Mat gives thanks to all who have been his dearest friends both on and off the stage.
