This production of Wes Side Story marks Roger’s second appearance with Royal City Musical Theatre. Since last year Roger has continued his full time position as Technical Operations Manager for the ACT in Maple Ridge. As well, Roger made a few festival appearances such as the Vancouver Island International Children’s Festival, Crimson Coast Dance Festival in Nanaimo and the Arabian Nights Festival in Maple Ridge. He also took on the role of Lighting Designer for Viva Musica’s production of Miss Saigon in Kelowna last August. Instead of the usual headshot in the program you will notice Roger chose to have a picture of his beloved dog, Gaffer, who sadly passed away last October. Gaffer spent over 14 years traveling around the country with Roger working in 3 different theatres and festivals. Gaff traveled as far north as the Dawson City Music Festival and east to the Winnipeg Jazz and Blues festival where James Brown felt compelled to pet her just before entering the stage to begin his show.
