Get Involved

Volunteers are the life-blood of any community-based organizations. Royal City Musical Theatre owes much of its success to its many dedicated and talented volunteers, who contribute countless hours of their time.

If you are interested in helping, opportunities exist in many areas, with varying degrees of time-commitment. Let us know if you can help with any of the following:

Office Staff: Work in the RCMT office taking ticket orders, answering phones and helping out where needed. Office hours are 9:30 am to 4 pm (two shifts per day) from mid- November until the end of April.

Program Sellers: Selling programs at performances at the Massey Theatre for 60 to 90 minutes prior to each show, and possibly at intermission.

Ad Salespersons: Soliciting advertising in the RCMT show program from local businesses. From September through to late January.

Stage Crew: Move props and moveable scenery during performances. From 1.5 hours before the show until about 30 minutes after the show.

Social: To assist with social events, especially the Opening Night Reception.

Merchandise: To assist with selling merchandise at each performance.

Postering: To deliver posters and other promotional material, and other possible duties.
