I started volunteering with RCMT for the 2008 Production of West Side Story, to do the flower arrangements and set up for the Opening Night reception. Since that time, I have done the flowers for all performances since, along with selling 50/50 tickets, community outreach at street festivals and parades, serving on the Board of Directors for 3 years, making coffee and treats for cast at rehearsal’s, and working Stage Door security during performances. My most exciting time was the 2 walk-on appearances that I did at performances of Anything Goes and Cabaret. I never thought Iwould make it to the stage, but did and it was a Blast! Thanks to RCMT for all the wonderful times and friends that I have met over the past 12 years . I look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

I started volunteering for RCMT in 1991 with the production of "Joseph" One of our past Volunteers Bob Sibson was looking after ticket sales and I started helping him. We would get orders from cast, crew and friends. Go down to Ticket Master in Vancouver tell them what seats we wanted. They would print them and at next rehearsal we distributed them and take more orders. Eventually we got an office in New West, rented a printer from TM and started selling to the public. I am still looking after all group sales. I sat on the Board of RCMT for a number of years, delivered poster to businesses, helped Joyce Der with opening night receptions at the Theatre Gallery. I hosted the closing night party at my home for many years  and helped Joyce with the food. Did security at the stage door during performances. My husband Harold eventually got involved and he took over program manager for a number of years. I was honoured to have been able to be a part of this wonderful organisation. We are like family - everyone helped wherever there was a need! I met so many wonderful people, many of them have become very close friends.  We did it for the love of theatre. Thank you to RCMT!”
